| Welcome to Mystical Rose Designs! I'm Tanya and I work with my 14 year old daughter, Jennifer, to create One of a Kind dolls and doll clothes. You can be assured that everything that you buy from us is of the best quality materials and is meant to last a lifetime! I will not put anything on my web site that I wouldn't want in my own home. I have been doll repainting and designing for about 7 years and crocheting for over 20. My love for everything crafty began with my Grandma, who could create anything. She quilted, crocheted, did ceramics, you name it she made it. She passed when I was very young and I didn't get to learn from her, but I was determined to learn. A friend taught me to crochet about 20 years ago and I've never looked back. I took a quilting class over 10 years ago, and although I don't have the space for it at this moment, it is a great passion of mine. As for the One of a Kind dolls, I have always been a huge Barbie fan and once I saw my first OOAK doll, which was a mermaid by Elaine of Dolls by Passion, I was hooked! I read about the art of creating OOAK dolls in books by Jim Faraone and tried my hand at it. I was a complete flop! I met fellow artist, Wendy H., on a doll group and she took me under her wing, giving me pointers, teaching me what paints to use and how to use them. Since then I've found my place in the Barbie and Kelly doll community and each day is a wonderful learning experience. I have made so many friendships through my dolls and the doll community! I just want you all to know how much you mean to me, and I want to thank you for supporting me through the good and the bad, the ups and downs.
